AmaZulu FC is a South African football club based in Umlazi, Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. It is one of the oldest soccer clubs in South Africa and first formed by migrant Zulu workers in the early 1930’s under the name Zulu Royal Conquerors. Zulu King Solomon kaDinizulu renamed the team the Zulu Royals in 1932 and gave them permission to use the royal Zulu shield as their logo.

Their name has changed over the years, very frequently going back and forth between AmaZulu and Zulu Royals and has reflected the often-turbulent back-room politics of the club but through it all the Usuthu have continued to play an exciting brand of football that thrills its legions of passionate fans.

AmaZulu play in the South African Premier Division. The clubs nickname ‘Usuthu’ is a Zulu war cry.
