Chippa United is a South African football club based in Gqeberha in the Eastern Cape. The club began as Mbekweni Cosmos in Paarl, Western Cape before being bought by Chippa Mpengesi and relocating to The Friendly City during the 2013 – 2014 season.

Chippa competes in the Dstv Premiership after gaining promotion through the 2nd Division and National First Division ranks.

Their home ground is the iconic Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha, but they often use East London’s Sisa Dukashe Stadium for home games to bring their brand of soccer to a wider fan base.
