Orlando Pirates reportedly declined a late bid from Mamelodi Sundowns to sign Vincent Pule during the recent January transfer window. Despite discussions between the two teams, Pirates ultimately decided against selling the left-footed winger to Sundowns. It is noted that Pirates had initially been open to the possibility of selling Pule, but after careful consideration, they chose to retain him as an important player under contract.
Although Pule has not been a regular starter for Pirates in recent months, he is highly regarded by Sundowns coach Rhulani Mokwena. Pule has also recently signed a new long-term contract with Pirates. The domestic transfer window closed on Tuesday midnight with Zakhele Lepasa being the only confirmed player to leave the club.
