Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Haashim Domingo believes Teboho Mokoena and Sipho Mbule are SuperSport United players to look out for when they clash in the Tshwane derby on Wednesday.
Sundowns come into encounter following a goalless draw at Cape Town City over the weekend and will now face a SuperSport side that have been on a run of disappointing and underwhelming performances.
Domingo has now identified Mokoena and Mbule as threats especially in the midfield, while Thamsanqa Gabuza and Bradley Grobler have to be looked after if Sundowns are to extend their unbeaten run this season.
“I expect that it’s going to be a direct performance from them in terms of long balls and playing on the second ball. So I think we need to stay very tight, pick up the second ball and establish play from there. Their midfield will be key, with Mokoena, Mbule – the creative players. And also Gabuza and Grobler upfront. That aerial presence will be key for them,” Domingo told the Sundowns media department ahead of the Tshwane derby.
Domingo was named man of the match in the last game and he’s confident of continuing where he left off.
“It’s just to continue where I left off in terms of the fitness. I can build on that and definitely the confidence going into the next one. I am definitely going to take that into the next game. It’s important that we get the result in this one. It was difficult to get a result against Cape Town City, but in this one we need to go out there and get the three points.”
